Comparison

Clauze or ChatGPT for Tunisian law?

A general-purpose assistant and a Tunisian legal tool aren't answering the same question.

In short

ChatGPT is a general-purpose assistant, useful for writing, rephrasing or translating. For a question on Tunisian law, Clauze answers from a corpus of 73,635 Tunisian legal texts, compares every citation with the actual text of the article before showing it, and says when it has no source instead of making one up.

A comparison of uses, not of one AI model against another: the difference lies in the corpus and the citation check.

When a general-purpose assistant is enough

To rephrase a letter, summarise a text you provide, or translate a paragraph, a general-purpose assistant does the job well.

Once the answer has to rest on an article of Tunisian law or a specific decision, the risk changes: a wrong citation or a repealed text is costly in court or with a client. That is the risk Clauze addresses.

Frequently asked questions

Does ChatGPT know Tunisian law?

It knows parts of it from its training data, but it doesn't work from a complete Tunisian corpus and doesn't check its citations against the official text of the articles.

Does Clauze use an AI model like ChatGPT?

Clauze uses a large language model to write, but from the Tunisian texts it retrieves, and it checks every citation against the text before showing it.
